Frequently heard during Ed Meanley's presentation today: "Wow" "I didn't know you could do that!"
Ed photoshopped our way through his topic, Digital Aids for Artists. The focus was on modification of images to assist in composition and color layout.
He demonstrated key features of photoshop, showing just a glimpse of what PS can do. As we watched the screen, Ed selected sections of a photo and changed hue, saturation and value with a quick slide of the bar. He showed how easy it is to straighten architectural lines as well as to correct or skew perspective.
Ed showed a series of slides in which he had replaced a dull sky with interesting clouds, added a barn, put in a few grazing cows, and brightened up a foreground field by changing the color. His completely revised composition resulted in one worthy of the best nature can render.
