ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Artwork must have been created in the last 2 years.
- Must be entirely the work of the artist and not copied from

The entry fee is paid via PayPal/Credit Card to Pastel Society of Southeast Texas upon submission. No checks accepted. All entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
SALES:
- Paintings must be for sale.
- Degallery will handle the sales and they will keep 40%

- There will be no substitutions of paintings during the show and

DELIVERY AND SHIPPING OF ACCEPTED ARTWORK:
- Artwork accepted into the show must be delivered to Degallery
2:00 p.m.
- For artwork mailed, paintings are to be mailed to Lynda Hughes, 15923 Clipper Pointe Dr., Cypress, TX, 77429. Artwork must arrive
- There will be no handling fee for work shipped in an Airfloat Strong Box or Uline Deluxe Art Shipper. Work shipped in other packaging will carry a $35 handling fee payable at the time of shipping. No crates will be accepted. Styrofoam peanuts and similar loose packing materials are not allowed. Boxes that arrive unsuitable for return shipping must be replaced by artist. Work must be shipped by commercial carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL). Shipped work will be returned promptly after show closes. All work must be clean, securely framed, and wired for hanging in a non-metal frame. We recommend the use of a framer’s grade plexiglass for shipping large paintings to minimize shipping cost and risk.
- Artists are responsible for delivery or shipping sold work to buyers.
- Degallery and the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas will use
work. Neither Degallery or the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas
is responsible for any damage or loss to work incurred during
shipping, hanging or showing the work. It is recommended that
artists insure their own work. Degallery reserves the right not to hang work that arrives damaged; is not properly wired for hanging;
that is not equivalent to the image submitted for selection; or
that otherwise does not conform to Submission Requirements.
- Damaged work will be reported to artist and, if needed, returned

TERMS:
As a condition of entry to the PSST 2026 Art of the Pastel International
Juried Show, the submitting artist agrees to the terms and conditions stated herein, including granting permission to the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas and Degallery to reproduce the accepted paintings for advertising and promotional purposes only. No images will be used or published for any other purposes except as stated above.
JUDGE AND JUROR: KAREN VERNON
Karen Vernon is an internationally recognized American artist celebrated for her mastery in
watercolors, oils, acrylics, and pastels.
She began her artistic journey as a child, taking a top award at the age of seven.
Encouraged by her parents and teachers, she developed a profound appreciation for the flow of color.
Vernon’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, which laid the foundation for her diverse artistic career. Her works are distinguished by their luminosity and vibrant use of color, often depicting floral and natural subjects

. Her paintings are part of numerous museum, private, and corporate collections worldwide. In addition to her personal artistic pursuits, Vernon is a dedicated educator, teaching workshops across the United States, Canada and Europe. She emphasizes the importance of quality materials and a deep understanding of mediums to achieve the desired luminosity and intensity in her works. Throughout her career, Karen Vernon has remained committed to creating art that nourishes and uplifts, stimulating imagination and creativity.
