Redesigned IAPS website looks really nice. PSST is now listed with current information under Member Societies, Society Directory. The Dellandre and Mahon workshops are also listed. IAPS is developing the showcase, so we will be able to add images from our artists later. The 2015 convention preview is a special feature added to the new website. It includes the details and schedule for everything happening at the convention, so it's a good time to plan ahead for next year.

Plein air artist and painter of the southwest, Mike Mahon will present his workshop "The 7 Principles of the Painting Process" at Jerry's Artarama Houston, the afternoons of November 1 and 2, and all day November 3 and 4. Registration and details on PSST website. This video by Mike clearly illustrates the theory of light and shadow. If you are interested in adding a watermark to your image before placing on the web, here's a Wix blog that lists 3 sites that offer watermarks at no or low cost.
The home page of the PSST website has been revised, to put the emphasis on our members and their artwork. In May, an Interview section was introduced to our newsletter. The inaugural interview was with founder and past president, Caroline Ratliff. The June Interview featured Brenda Hash, whose painting "Thoughts of Elberta" has been juried into prestigious shows. Those interviews are now on the website. We hope they will give you a little insight into life as an artist and will inspire you in your own artistic journey. Linda Dellandre will be the August Interview. Watch for it in your August newsletter and on our website. PSST continues to grow, with new members and with new ideas. The website is just one of them.
