meetings and activities 2020
June through December meetings were held online via Zoom.
A VERY SPECIAL MERRY CHRISTMAS PRESENT For the past 7 years, the PSST tradition has been for members to gather for the most delicious of food, the swap and steal of original paintings, and the hugs and smiles of friends.
Because of covid restrictions, the December meeting must be virtual. We consulted Santa, and he whispered that we should bring something special to the meeting. With jingling bells, we are happy to unwrap our present to PSST members -- renowned artist Liz Haywood-Sullivan as guest artist for the December 5 meeting via Zoom. |

cancelled: May 2 meetingfrom PSST President Liz Czerewaty:
I so wish we didn’t need to cancel our monthly meeting scheduled for May, but we indeed do. First of all, our friend, Texas Art Supply is only taking over the phone orders for pickup, their facility is currently not open. Even more importantly, physical distancing is critical to our individual safety and continued good health, a must for us all. Let’s look for a “bright” side to all of this and continue doing and sharing what we love to do in our wonderful gift of art. |
CANCELLED: april 4 MEETINGfrom PSST President Liz Czerewaty:
"It is with regret but confidence that I am putting forward my decision to cancel the April PSST meeting. Nothing is more important than getting an early handle on this destructive virus through diligent hand hygiene and social distancing. The continued good health of each of you comes first. Please be in touch if you are needing physical or emotional support in any way." |

Welcome to the New Year, New Supplies, and a “Hands On” Pastel Paint Day
The New Year brings lots of ideas for new and past members to discover opportunities for pastel painters. Our President, Liz Czerewaty will announce all the newest goals and up to date plans for 2020. Be sure to be here for a lively and informative discussion with Liz! After that, we will enjoy a paint together session, if you wish to participate. Last year we sampled different sanded papers and had fun painting fruit. This year we are going to try just one or two new papers and do our favorite pastel painting exercises. How about 75 strokes only? Or same color, three values? Bring your small set of pastels and you will receive a few sheets of a new pastel paper to take home as well. What we paint will be a surprise. Supplies: a small set of medium hard pastels, about 16 will do. In addition, bring 3 pastels in the same color spectrum but of different values. Example : dark purple, medium purple, light purple. Or dark red, medium red, and light red. Or, yellows, etc. Only pick one color for these extra 3 pastels. Plus an apron, some hand wipes, sheet of aluminum foil, a clipboard. If you want, bring an empty 3 ring binder (sturdy kind) to lean your clipboard on. Otherwise your handbag or supply satchel should do. Don’t bring tabletop or standing easels. This is a group table project where we all need to see the object being painted. Any questions, please email Linda Dellandre dellandw@yahoo.com |
CANCELLATION, REFUND AND WAITLIST POLICY. PSST understands that cancellations may be necessary and that duplicate registrations occur, and will accommodate members when possible. However, a $5.00 handling fee will be deducted from all refunds, for whatever reason.
If a mini-workshop can be filled from the wait list, registrant will receive a refund, less the $5 handling fee. If a mini-workshop cannot be filled from the wait list, registrant will forfeit the full workshop fee. Requests for cancellation, refund, and wait list must be made via email to Programs Chair, Linda Dellandre. |
