ACCEPTABLE PAINTINGS
Emerging – Any Member Artist who meets one or more of the following qualifications: students, hobbyist, just starting to apply to juried shows and/or art shows and sells work occasionally in local exhibitions
Professional – Any Member Artist who meets one or more of the following qualifications: submits to and is accepted in national professional exhibitions, has active presence with website, blog, or newsletter, sells own work in a gallery, online, special show, or co-op setting, and/or has earned a designated status in prominent pastel society by points or jurying. May teach workshops or give demos.
FEES, COMMISSIONS, SALES TAX
DAVINCI gallery commission is 15% on sales with an additional 3% charged to artist for credit card sales. Each artist is responsible for paying their own sales tax. Checks are distributed the following month of the sale. Any painting left in the gallery for more than a week after the event will be charged a fee of $10/per week.
REMOVAL
No painting may be removed from the DAVINCI gallery prior to June 16, unless it is sold by DaVinci Gallery. Buyers at the gallery will be allowed to take sold paintings with them If the painting has been paid for.
LIABILITY WAIVER
Neither DaVinci Gallery nor PSST, its officers or members will be responsible for loss or damage to paintings, however caused.
- Soft and/or hard pastel on any surface
- Under-painting is admissible; but the artwork must be predominantly pastel (80%)
- No oil pastel painting is acceptable
- The theme “This is Texas” applies to anyone, any place, anything you feel is Texas related in your work
- All paintings done in a school, school monitored studio or workshop, under instructor supervision, or copied from published photographs will be rejected
- Size limit including frame 22x28. Examples: 16 x 20 image with 3-inch frame all around; 18 x 24 image with 2-inch frame all around
- Work must be firmly framed with screw eyes or D-rings and strong wire, ready to hang
- Artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of a base photo or print
- The gallery reserves the right to refuse to display work at their discretion
- Artworks that have been shown in any prior PSST shows are not eligible
- Entry is limited to one painting per member
- There will be two Entry Categories to enter the show. First, Second and Third prizes in these categories will be awarded. The "Deborah Warner Prize” will be awarded and both categories are eligible

Judge of Awards for PSST ALL MEMBERS SHOW
We are pleased to announce the judge for the 2019 PSST All Members Show, William J. Kalwick, Jr.
William studied art with his late father, and attended the Art Students League of New York. He traveled extensively in Europe, especially Italy. He credits masters such as Sorolla, Repin, Serov, and Sargent for influences as well. He moved to Houston and studied with Lagos Marcos, a prominent portrait painter.
Kalwick paints a wide range of subject matter, including portraits, figurative, landscapes, architecture, and plein air. His work has been on the cover of Southwest Art Magazine, March 1999, and he has been a featured artist in Art of the West, and Southwest Art In 2001. He has been included in many exhibitions including Masters of the American West, The Prix de West, and the annual Gilcrease Show.
Kalwick’s paintings hang in collections throughout North America and Europe. He is represented by Pitzer’s Fine Art, Jack Meier Gallery, Wilcox Gallery, La Antiqua Galeria de Arte, and Concetta D. gallery.
