I offer beginning and intermediate level group and private classes. Even in group classes, I work personally with each student focusing on their specific interest in subject matter. I always start my classes with this phrase, “Art is a discovery, way of looking at the world as though you are looking it for the first time.” Students are encouraged to develop their own style. They will learn to understand and utilize the elements and principles of design: such as the use of light, color, line, composition, and much more, as part of the process of creating their artwork. I am teaching small Open Studio group classes. These are "a la carte" classes you choose which one to attend instead of a monthly commitment). Maximum 4 students per class wearing masks. My Virtual Open Studio days are a laid-back, inexpensive alternative to workshops, where you get to hang out with me while I work (or paint along!) and pick my brain. Healey teaches virtual pastel lessons from her studio in Rhode Island for beginners to advanced students. Students are introduced to the pastel medium through experimentation and reinforcement of the elements of art, painting subjects that interest the student.
