CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, INSTRUCTION OFFERED BY PSST MEMBERS

CAROLINa dalmas

Pastel, Acrylic, Oil, and Drawing Classes.
I offer beginning and intermediate level group and private classes. Even in group classes, I work personally with each student focusing on their specific interest in subject matter.  I always start my classes with this phrase, “Art is a discovery, way of looking at the world as though you are looking it for the first time.”  Students are encouraged to develop their own style. They will learn to understand and utilize the elements and principles of design: such as the use of light, color, line, composition, and much more, as part of the process of creating their artwork.

I am teaching small Open Studio group classes. These are "a la carte" classes you choose which one to attend instead of a monthly commitment). Maximum 4 students per class wearing masks. My studio is located at The Woodlands TX.

Pastel Workshops, Demos and Paint-Alongs
I now offer Virtual Open Studio demos and Paint-Alongs via Zoom! My Virtual Open Studio days are a laid-back, inexpensive alternative to workshops, where you get to hang out with me while I work (or paint along!) and pick my brain.

In workshops, my main focus is painting small and often to rapidly improve your skills and expand your knowledge. My favorite subject is light. Value and temperature is key! Learn from my 40+ years of pastel experience, including how to creatively interpret your photos and how to stay productive with your art within a busy lifestyle.

For the latest updated schedule of In-Person and Virtual Workshops, and Virtual Open Studio days, visit my website events page https://www.ritakirkman.com/events.  Check out my Patreon Page for deals on video access and invites! https://www.patreon.com/RitaKirkmanStudiorita@ritakirkman.com.

Pastel Classes
Healey teaches virtual pastel lessons from her studio in Rhode Island for beginners to advanced students.  Students are introduced to the pastel medium through experimentation and reinforcement of the elements of art, painting subjects that interest the student. Warm ups, quick studies and drawing are part of weekly lessons, along with great music, wonderful camaraderie, and lots of encouragement. Students work from setups and from photography. Please check her website for details.
