PAstel, a fine art
workshop for educators 2018
( ce credit)

JOIN THE FUN AND GET DUSTY!
Presenting a 6 hour CE credit Workshop for Educators and those interested in learning more about pastel as a fine art medium.  Morning lectures relevant for AP Art History, the Business of Art, Introduction to the International Society of Pastel Societies (IAPS), demonstrations and a sandbox opportunity to try some materials.  Lesson plans adapted from professional artists for classroom use.
Pastels consist of almost pure pigment with minimal binder giving them greater concentration of pigment than any other media.  Recent advances have ensured that modern pastel painting is a synthesis of artistic talent with historical materials.
