Pastel seems to be a perfect metaphor for Lyn's relationship to landscapes … vibrant, expressive, exuberant and tactile.
"In both plein air and studio painting, the way to find your voice is by knowing what you want to say. Whether en plein air, or in the studio using reference materials, we all need to be observant and to take clues from the landscape. These observations not only help inform our compositions and color palettes, but can be valuable in helping us to express what we're experiencing."
