​PLEIN AIR EVENTS HOSTED BY PSST
Plein air is a social outing, as well as a method to improve landscape painting, photographing subjects, and learning quick draw of people's movements or gestures. Learning correct values from life can only help you to enhance your skills.

And the best part? Having "buddy" groups in the vicinity means safety. You have someone else around, people to sit and have lunch with, and new friends to bounce off ideas on composition or casual a critique.

Full details for PSST plein air events will be given through an email blast to entire PSST membership approximately two weeks prior to event. Followup email will be sent out only if cancelled due to weather or lack of participants. 

HOUSTON AREA PLEIN AIR GROUPS
Plein air painters in the greater Houston area have many opportunities to paint outdoors.
The following groups and locations are presented as choices. As organizers. schedules and details are always subject to change, it is your responsibility to contact the organizer.
ART LEAGUE OF FORT BEND
Plein Air Outings on the 3rd Friday of each month

You do not have to be a member of ALFB to join the ALFB Plein Air Outings.
SKETCHING IN THE GARDENS OF BAYOU BEND

Admission fee is $7.50 for adults, $6.00 for seniors.  Small set of pastels, colored pencils or pastel pencils, a camp chair, sketch clipboard and clip on umbrella are permissible materials. 

Do not bring easels, paints, solvents, and roller cases full of equipment; THIS IS SKETCH ONLY.

HOUSTON PLEIN AIR PAINTERS

HPAP welcomes the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas to their paintouts!

If you are interested in any of their paintouts, register with signupgenius.com, then signup!
There is no fee for joining this group. Any fee would be if a specific location had an entrance fee and will be advertised on the signup information. Please contact organizer or look at website of location to double check.

CONROE ART LEAGUE PLEIN AIR GROUP
 
Join a fun-loving group of artists each month to paint the landscapes, cityscapes, flora and fauna of the Greater North Houston area. This group is open to all area artists, no membership required. All mediums are welcomed! No instruction and no fee, just bring your gear. Feel free to paint or sketch in the medium of your choice—oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, charcoal, etc.
