Liz Haywood-Sullivan provided these progression phots of her demonstration for the December 5 PSST meeting. She said "It was so much fun to do the demo, and I enjoyed doing this piece from start to finish." The clarity of her underpainting values guided her through to the finish; her shapes, shadows and brights stayed true. Tip: paint the local color, then the color of what falls over that local color, i.e., hot warm light over green grass, or cool sky reflected into cool shadows. Her explanation is detailed in the video (available for PSST members only.) These photos were taken of a computer screen, so they are a little blurry (sorry, Liz), but they provide an excellent representation of how Liz developed a pastel landscape..
