PSST Member Gallery Artist for May 2019 ~ Caroline Ratliff

Are you showing your work in the Member Gallery of PSST? Each month the spotlight will shine on one of our Member Gallery Artists, selected by the totally impartial Random Number Generator! May 2019 was a fortuitous finding of the work of Caroline Ratliff!

Caroline won First Prize for her pastel painting Turbulence in G. Lee Gallery's SWAN Day. On April 13, the gallery hosted women artists to celebrate Support Women Artists Now.

The 2019 Pastel Society of Southeast Texas All Member Show will be held at the DaVinci Gallery in Tomball, Tx., with a theme of “This is Texas”!
If you are not a member at this time, please renew your membership to be eligible for entry into the show. Information is included in the prospectus at this link.

We have never had a presentation on watercolor paper before so this will be something new and unique! Please sign up on the PSST website page under activities and scroll down to the PayPal signup below the description of the workshop. There are only a few spaces left! If you are still on the fence, you can bring your pastels and easel to the meeting, and if we have spaces left, we will try and get you in- you can pay by check or cash in person as well as credit card at that time.

12:30 - 4:00 Mini-Workshop with Jeannette Cuevas. Details below.

Alain Picard is our Featured Artist for April 2019. He is an award-winning artist, instructor, author and speaker. His acclaimed pastel and oil paintings have been exhibited throughout the US, Europe, China and the UK. Alain travels internationally as an art instructor, demonstrator, speaker and artistic advocate for the vulnerable.

From Alain: "We often question our own approach, and don’t think we have something unique to share with others. So I have begun to share as much encouragement as I am able by video on YouTube and other vehicles, to spur artists on to believe that they have something wonderful inside worth sharing. "
