Linda Dellandre will teach a 3 hour workshop on September 6, 2014, 1:00 - 4:00 pm, at Jerry's Artarama Houston. Cost for the workshop is $30.00. Space is limited. You will learn when to apply hard to soft pastels; when to use light pressure or heavy pressure; how to paint trees using mass, value, illumination, and shadows. The goal is good composition and correct value, with clean color and light. One participant will win Linda's handmade, "portable pastel box" (Pastels not included) PSST will present a free demo from 10:30 - 12:00 at the September 6 PSST meeting. Attending the demo will be beneficial to workshop attendees. Winner of the Bronze Award at the IAPS 2nd Master Circle Juried Exhibition Recipient of IAPS Master Circle Gold Medallion 2013 Top winner in the Pastel Society of America’s 38th Annual Juried Show Invitee and award winner at the Sedona Plein Air Festival, and Zion National Park’s 2012 “In the Footsteps of Thomas Moran” She has a painting in the permanent collection of the St George Art Museum as part of the juried exhibition “A Century of Sanctuary.” In July 2012, Linda was artist in residence in Dinan, France, where a pastel was chosen by committee for their collection. She authored an article about this experience and it was published in the Pastel Journal, February 2013.
