Fun at the Museum!
It was so nice to be out and about this past Saturday for the first PSST social event. The MFA lecture did not disappoint! Much was learned! The religious and political intertwinings...were common subjects matter. The Murals themselves were, in that time period, considered the most lavish gift/possession one could own--superseding gold and jewels! What was spent on their production was equal to a months budget for the entire war effort they were currently engaged in. The feat of creating these masterpiece weavings is beyond my comprehension...the murals and the paintings are spectacular.
Next, and my favorite part, we sat outdoors on a beautiful spring evening sharing conversation on art, family, fun and a host of topics! A special event and memory.
